I WILL BECOME A CHAPLAIN BECAUSE:
I was able to use my secular skills and my counseling skills to provide an effective and efficient use that will assist me with becoming a Chaplain.
I felt God called me to be his disciple at an early age and have tried to fulfill this calling as I have progressed in life. I believe I have served the Lord by using my counseling skill in both the secular and spiritual arenas for the Glory of God.
I have been lead by the Holy Spirit to attempt things for the Lord that I would not have done on my own. Being lead by the Holy Spirit has been the most exciting, challenging and meaningful experience of my life. He has directed me in the gifts of Healing, Giving, Prophecy, Teaching, Tongues and Interpretation. I try to keep myself open to do His bidding as directed. I have found out that obedience to what He says to do is the highest honor I can give to God.
My desire is to grow closer with the Lord and hear His voice to direct me in all ways. I want to be able to use my talents, resources and experiences to bless and help others who have gone through some of the same issues I have had to deal with. I believe that working with homeless women has given me the opportunity to do this and also to train them up in the ways of the Word of God. I have made many friends by volunteering to help them as an advocate and as a friend
