“The Making of a Chaplain” is a complete Chaplain Curriculum which is Biblically based, Christ centered and Holy Spirit empowered. Upon completion, the Chaplain will have 1200 hours of certified studies and hands on Chaplain Ministry. They will be prepared to serve your community.

First Year Candidate Text Books
CANDIDATE (1st Year) COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Making of a Chaplain is about helping those who want to serve their community as a Chaplain, but who cannot break away to pursue a four year degree. It provides the instruction, interaction, accountability and relationships that are not available through correspondence or internet courses.
The Making of a Chaplain is a complete Chaplain Curriculum which is Biblically based, Christ centered and Holy Spirit empowered. They are contained in seven iBook format textbooks. Printed textbooks are not available.
Foundation 7 text books covers a range of subjects beginning with ten foundational Biblical teachings:

The Candidate curriculum is 44 lessons in length. There are questions to complete after each lesson and one final exam plus many other requirements including reading 4 books with written reports. We also conduct field trips to funeral homes, hospitals, and care centers, the student is required to attend.
Certified Hours 1st Year Candidate Hours are as follows:
Classroom Teaching 2.0 hours for 44 lessons………………….…88 hours
Pre class study time & weekly exams 10.0 hours per week..…440 hours
Reading and writing 4 books and reports 18.0 hours /book……72 hours
TOTAL………………600 hours
Second Year Intern Text Books
INTERN (2nd Year) COURSE DESCRIPTION
This program provides ministry experience in conducting Bible Studies, baptisms, Holy Communion Services, funerals, and death notifications, etc. An additional 600 hours will be completed.

Covers Internship and Certification requirements, 43 Scripture Topics, Scriptures also on Marriage, Funerals, Finishing Strong, God’s Purpose for us, Temptation, Widows, The Handicapped and the Poor & Needy, many Prayers, and a Journal for Prayers. 190 pages, 18 videos

Lessons 1 to 3 covers Faith, Deliverance a Holy Adventure, Deliverance – Alignment. 10 videos

Chaplain Continuing Education Program
A chaplain continuing education (CCE) requirement is a measure used in the continuing education program, for the Chaplain to maintain their yearly certification. Our program is defined as twelve hours per year of participation in The Making of a Chaplain continuing education, with qualified instruction. CCE records are used to provide evidence of completion of continuing education requirements mandated by the Dream City Church certification board.
To maintain your Church Certification status each year, you must receive 12 credit hours of class study or participation in an authorized event. One hour of credit per hour of participation, not including travel time or time to do a report.
